Lebanon. A nation that seems to continuously experience degrading living conditions.
First civil unrest, then the Beirut port explosion & the COVID-19 pandemic. All these factors have played a role in the dwindling economy of the country.
The Lebanese currency has reached an all-time high. As a result, the cost of living has increased significantly. The people are barely getting by and daily necessities such as food are difficult to attain. Meat has become a luxury that only very few can afford.
Whilst people are jobless, the country is also accommodating almost 3 million Syrian & Palestinian refugees. Resources are limited and the situation only seems to become worse.
Ramadan is right around the corner & many families will be wondering whether they can manage to put food on the table.
