Over the past month, Indonesia has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic as the number of cases has skyrocketed which has seen the situation go from bad to worse.
There has been a record break of almost 28,000 cases. This has led to a total of over 2,284,000 reported cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Unfortunately, the death toll has also increased to surpass 60,000.
Hospitals are now at full capacity & have been forced to turn many patients away. To make matters even more difficult, the oxygen supply in these hospitals is nearly depleted whilst the price of oxygen tanks has increased 5 fold.
Human Appeal is coordinating with its field partners to provide much needed aid in terms of oxygen tanks, hygiene kits, food parcels & self-isolation programs.
