Tuesday, 30 May proved to be a delightful evening as Human Appeal Australia sponsored the Belmore Boys High School Iftar for a third year. The afternoon proved to be a spectacular event as all members from the community shared a meal by breaking fast in the holy month.
Numerous figures attended the event such as Mr Jihad Dib MP, member for Lakemba, Ms Nadia Saleh, Deputy Mayor for the City of Canterbury-Bankstown, a few school principals & many other members from the local community.
A couple of short talks were given by the Principal Ms Hala Ramadan & a couple of keynote speakers, each describing what Ramadan is about from their own perspective. It truly resembled what the blessed month is all about.
Human Appeal then received a token of appreciation, that was a brick with its name on it that will be laid into the foundations of the school, engraving the history of our organisation supporting Belmore Boys High till the end of time.
As the event came to a close, everyone contributed to help build a water well in Somalia to help provide water for many in need, which was what the night was all about.
