“We were completely hooked on the fishing experience” This what a father said in the 6th adventure in the Father and Son Program operated by Human Appeal Community Care in partnership with Bilal Al-Hayek on Saturday the 28th November.
The day was full of motion and excitement. It started with a “Learn to Fish” workshop by Clr. George Mannah a representative of NSW department of fisheries who gave a professional tutorial on fishing and the safety procedures should be taken.
After that, fishing rods with a complete set of fishing gear to all participating children.
Participants then were divided into two groups one group preferred to swim due to the extremely weather and the second group went to practice what they learnt and started their first experience of fishing.
COVID-19 prevention methods were applied with checking participants’ temperatures, distributing face masks, gloves and hand sanitizers.
