As bushfires continue to blaze throughout NSW, our team has been tirelessly working to supply aid to both victims and firefighters. Our first trip last Wednesday took us to the victim shelter in Springwood, where we distributed food and water. Yesterday was our second trip, which involved the transport and distribution of two full vans of food, water, hygiene kits and sleeping bags to Winmalee and Mt Victoria.

Late Friday evening we were welcomed by the wonderful team at Mt Victoria Fire Station. We dropped off our final load there for distribution to Bell further North, which we could not access ourselves due to road blockages and fire hazards. They were pleasantly surprised by the generosity of our community: "Good people like you rise above those who give the Muslim community a bad name," the chief fireman commented. Issam Chaouk with RFS Fire Chief

"Australia is our country, our community, it is our duty to help and support the country that has helped and supported us," Human Appeal Australia Project Manager, Mr Issam Chaouk said, "we are one."

We would like to thank our heroes - our firefighters, who put their lives in danger day and night to protect our community. We would also like to thank our volunteers, who put in time and effort to help with the distributions.

And of course, thank you, our generous donor, for all the support and prayers - your donations have made a great difference in the lives of those who suffered from this calamity. May Allah reward you.
