The violent uprising that has been occurring in Myanmar has left destruction everywhere in its wake. The ethnic cleansing occurring in the country that has targeted the Rohingya population is forcing its people to abandon their homes making them displaced within their country and many more seeking refuge elsewhere.
Since October 2016, over 150,000 Rohingya refugees have fled to neighbouring countries to escape the violence.
Entire villages are being burned to the ground. HAIA’s team is on the ground and has delivered food aid to over 6000 people. Public sanitation and water facilities have been funded to serve the refugee camps. And two schools will be built to provide education to primary school children.
The Rohingya people are in need of immediate relief.
