On Sunday the 27th of November, Human Appeal International Australia celebrated its 25th Anniversary in Sydney. The incredible milestone featured a Family Fun Day and Gala Dinner hosting a variety of local and international guest speakers and performances.
On the 5th of September, Human Appeal International Australia Director, Bashar Al-Jamal attended the gifting ceremony to a beautiful project at the Syrian Border in Jordan. The ceremony marked the occasion of Human Appeal Australia providing 3 fully equipped ambulances to the Jordanian Border Command to help provide aid to the thousands of stranded refugees at the Jordanian-Syrian border.
On Friday the 22nd of July, Human Appeal graced the grounds of Malek Fahd Islamic School.
Over the coarse of a week, Human Appeal was proud to sponsor 4 Eid festivals in Sydney. From Auburn to Bankstown & Fairfield, the weekend from Friday the 8th till Sunday the 10th of July followed by Liverpool the weekend after, were nothing short of fantastic.
Australia: Local schools share in the spirit of Ramadan
For the very first time, Human Appeal International Australia sponsored Ramadan Iftar (breaking of the fast) dinners at a number of Sydney schools including Birrong Boys High School, Belmore Boys High School, Homebush Boys High School and Unity Grammar College. The events were a great success with more than one thousand people in attendance. Although Human Appeal is mainly focussed on fighting poverty and providing relief aid around the world, it is also actively and consistently involved within the local community.
